Second cycle of nursing studies at the Nursing Faculty in Mostar
Head Nurse of the Department for Anesthesia, Reanimation and Intensive Care at the Cantonal Hospital “Dr.Safet Mujić“ in Mostar

I have always wondered what people in white uniforms do. I was especially fascinated by nurses working in operating rooms and
intensive care units because I believed their job was full of challenges and very humane. Having been in this profession for 26 years, I can confirm it is.

During the graduate studies I gained additional experience in nursing leadership and management. After graduation, I plan to engage in teaching and pass on the knowledge and skills I gained to junior colleagues, university and high school nurse students and this way contribute to the improvement of health care services.

I believe that it is necessary to introduce specializations for nurses that would prepare them to better respond to job demands, for example ICU nurse, nurse anesthetist, scrub nurse etc.

The Strengthening Nursing in BIH project has helped to improve nurse education process in several segments. It also helped by awarding scholarships for second and third study cycles that motivated us to continue with our professional development.
