Theoretical part of the additional training in community nursing, attended by so far the highest number of participants, was successfully completed at the Educational Center of the Primary Health Care Center Tuzla. This training phase represents a significant step forward in improving the quality of nursing care and strengthening the capacities of health professionals.

During the intensive seventeen-day program, 20 lecturers – experienced health professionals and their associates – held more than 100 hours of training, in form of lectures, interactive work and workshops. A total of 35 nurses from 11 primary health care centers from Tuzla and Posavina Cantons attended the training. This demonstrates the great need and interest in such professional development programs.

A two-day workshop on development of health promotion programs tailored to the needs of local communities added special value to this training. The knowledge and experience of Milijana Rubin from Primary Health Care Center Prijedor and Adnan Mujezinovic from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zenica, who led the workshop, helped the participants learn how to create concrete and sustainable interventions at the local level.

After successfully completing the theoretical part, participants will apply the acquired knowledge and skills in practice. The practical part of the training will take place in primary health care centers and the communities the participants are from, through activities focused on the needs of the population, aiming to improve public health and strengthen the role of the community nursing.

We are proud of all the participants who showed exceptional commitment and enthusiasm during the training and we look forward to the next stages of this important educational process.
