A four-day workshop "Development of Nurses' Managerial and Leadership Skills" organized in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health was held in Vitez. The workshop brought together head nurses from Sarajevo Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton, and in the coming months will be organized in other cantons in the Federation of BiH as well.

The participants had the opportunity to learn about the basics of management in healthcare, develop organizational skills and consider challenges in human resource management. Some of the topics covered were decision-making, teamwork, business communications, time management and burnout prevention.

The atmosphere throughout the program was extremely motivating, and the participants demonstrated a high level of engagement, professionalism and readiness to acquire new knowledge. The workshop offered opportunity for the experience exchange, strengthening mutual cooperation and empowering healthcare professionals who deal with a huge responsibility every day. Participants emphasized that such educational programs are key to creating a positive organizational culture, improving team dynamics and improving the quality of management of healthcare institutions, especially in times of challenges and change.

This successful training once again confirms that investing in people – in their competencies, strength and vision – brings more concrete and sustainable results for the entire healthcare system.

The workshop was implemented in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health and with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a part of Strengthening Nursing in BiH project.
