In September 2023, the Public Institution Primary Health Care Center Canton Sarajevo received the approval from the Federal Ministry of Health, for provision of additional training in community nursing in three organizational units: Center, Vogosca and Ilidza.

Theoretical part of the addition training in community nursing for 26 participants from Canton Sarajevo and the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton was launched on 6^th February 2024.

In their opening speeches, Katharina Nydegger, Head of the Health Portfolio at the Swiss Embassy, Goran Cerkez, Assistant Federal Minister of Health, Ademir Spahic, Head Nurse of the Sarajevo Canton Primary Health Care Center, Almir Pasagic, Head of the Organizational Unit of the Vogosca Primary Health Care Center and Eldin Fisekovic, Project Manager of Strengthening Nursing in BiH project expressed their contentment about training.

Participants of the additional training are family medicine team’s nurses or community nurses of the Primary Health Care Centers in Sarajevo Canton, Gorazde, Praca and Ustikolina.

The theoretical part of the additional training will take 15 working days and will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday in Vogosca Primary Health Care Center.
