Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina nurse delegation, Mirjana Jankovic, Senior Expert Associate for Nursing at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska, Sladjana Vranjes, Assistant Director General of the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, Ivona Ljevak, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Mostar, Elvedin Dervisevic, registered nurse at the General Hospital "Dr. Abdulah Nakas", and representatives of Fami Foundation, have been guests of the Association of Nurses and Midwives of Slovenia for the past few days.

Working meetings and visits were held in various health and educational institutions with the aim of exchanging experiences and good practices. They also used the opportunity to talk with Prof. Dr. Danica Zeleznik, Dean of the Faculty during the celebration of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences Slovenj Gradec's 15th anniversary.

The delegation also visited Primary Health Care Center Velenje and Specialist Hospital Topolsica and spoke with Janez and Darja Kramar, spouses, who are the directors of these institutions.

The delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with nurses’ practice at the Primary Health Care Center Velenje and independent work in the area of prevention and monitoring of chronic diseases and to attend the presentation of digital solutions in healthcare carried out by the hospital.

A joint meeting of the delegation and representatives of the Association of Nurses and Midwives of Slovenia was held in Ljubljana. Monika Azman, President of the Association and Anita Prelec, Executive Director, handed  a symbolic check to Fami Foundation, representing collected funds that will be donated in the coming period to help nurses from the areas affected by the recent floods. This visit marks a significant step towards the advancement of the nursing profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
