In order to improve the quality and accessibility of health care services in the community, especially for vulnerable and socially excluded groups, there was an initiative to expand cooperation to 10 additional municipalities in Republika Srpska. This goal is to improve community nursing through a series of strategic activities.

As part of the preparatory activities, project representatives visited primary health care centers Trnovo, Rogatica and Sokolac. They had constructive discussions with the local health care providers and management on the next steps necessary for improvement of nursing services in these communities. Special focus was placed on identifying the specific needs of each municipality and adapting the action plan to these needs.

A comprehensive action plan including the following was presented:

- Signing of memorandum of understanding: Making the partnership between the project and local health institutions official to ensure joint action in the implementation of the planned activities.
- Finalization of local action plans: Develop detailed plans that define specific steps and responsibilities of all parties involved in improvement of nursing.
- Training for community nurses: Organize specialized trainings and workshops focused on strengthening nurses’ competencies for work in the community, which will result in provision of better quality services to patients.
- Equipment donation: Provision of necessary medical and technical resources that will enable nurses to carry out their work in the field more efficiently.
- Improvement of interinstitutional cooperation: Encourage coordination between different sectors, including healthcare, social welfare and local administration, in order to ensure comprehensive support to patients.

It is expected that these activities will significantly contribute to improving the availability, quality and comprehensiveness of community nursing services.
