On 4 September 2024 representatives of the Federal Ministry of Health and the Fami Foundation held a constructive meeting in Tuzla with representatives of the key institutions of the Tuzla Canton - the Ministry of Health, Public Health Institute, Health Insurance Fund and Tuzla Primary Health Care Center.

The focus of the discussion was on upcoming activities aimed at improving  community nursing in selected municipalities of this canton.

The implementation of the planned activities will begin at the end of this year.

The goal of the project component dealing with the improvement community nursing is, among other things, the creation of a proactive and sustainable community of educators in the field of community nursing who will be ready to educate the population and professionals on topics important for health preservation. In a society of knowledge and a society that learns, the health expert, in addition to his other tasks, has the responsibility to transmit knowledge by caring for himself and others, and to contribute to the development of knowledge by participating in small or large-scale research.
