Over the past 12 years, Switzerland has supported the strengthening of the nursing profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a result, over 1.1 million people, including 150,000 vulnerable people, gained access to expanded and quality community nursing services. More than 31,000 people participated in health promotion and non-communicable disease prevention programs.
"We remain committed to improving healthcare services, fostering a resilient and highly skilled workforce and upholding the rights of nurses. On International Nurses Day, we celebrate and recognize their remarkable contribution," said Katharina Nydegger, Head of the Health Sector at the Embassy of Switzerland in BiH at the nursing conference in Neum.
